“And I Love Her” reveals the quieter sophistication already emerging inside Beatlemania. Written mainly by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney, the 1964 ballad sets an unusually direct declaration of love against acoustic guitars, restrained percussion and George Harrison’s elegant recurring figure.
Recorded for A Hard Day’s Night, it became one of the early Beatles songs that proved intimacy could carry as much force as their exuberant hits. This Tempoetic arrangement is supplied in F minor.
