What does Tempoetic sell?
Tempoetic supplies downloadable backing tracks and chord charts for musicians, singers and performers.
Depending on the song, the available products may include:
- Standard MP3 backing tracks
- REAL Tracks featuring recorded instruments or vocals
- PDF chord charts
- Different musical keys or arrangements
Only the formats and keys displayed on a song’s page are currently available.
Are these the original artist recordings?
No. Tempoetic backing tracks are produced accompaniment tracks. They are not the original artist’s master recordings with the lead vocal removed. Each not of each song is played in by real musicians, never generated or utilising AI. This is why are backing tracks are more authentic than many you will find elsewhere.
Can I listen before buying?
Yes. Where available, click the Play button on a song to hear a short demo. The demo is a 30 second preview only not the complete track with a sample portion. There is no point trying to download this as it is only a partial song.
How will I receive my purchase?
After successful payment, your download link will normally be available in one or all of the following methods:
- On the order confirmation page
- In your order email
- Under My Account → Downloads, if you used or created an account
If your payment is still processing, the download may not appear until payment has been confirmed.
Do I need an account?
You may be able to purchase as a guest. Creating an account makes it easier to view your orders and available downloads later.
Use the same email address at checkout that you want associated with the order.
What file formats are supplied?
Backing tracks are supplied only as MP3 files. Chord charts are supplied as PDF files. We do not sell MIDI files on this site.
You will need a compatible MP3 audio player or PDF reader. Most current computers, phones and tablets can open these formats.
Can I buy more than one version of a song?
Yes. If a song has several formats or keys, each available option is displayed on the song page and can be purchased separately. You may for example, want a song and it’s chord chart in a male and female key (where available).
Can I share the downloaded file?
No. Your purchase is licensed to you for your own use. You must not share, resell, upload or redistribute the downloaded MP3 or PDF. Your IP address and other identifying data linked to you may be encoded in the files, so it is best not to share these files with anyone. We have kept the cost very low for this very reason, so that everyone can afford to buy them – rather than risk breaking international copyright laws.

Can I use a backing track at a live performance?
Yes. The standard Tempoetic licence permits the purchaser to use the track for practice, rehearsal, auditions and live musical performance.
Recording, broadcasting, uploading or synchronising the track with video may require additional permission or third-party licences.
Can I get a refund?
Because downloads are digital products, we do not offer refunds simply because you changed your mind or purchased the wrong track or key.
If a file is faulty, materially different from its description or cannot be delivered, contact us so we can investigate and provide an appropriate solution.
My download is not working. What should I do?
Try the following:
- Confirm that payment was completed.
- Check your order confirmation and email.
- Open My Account → Downloads.
- Try another browser or device.
- Check your spam or junk folder.
If the problem continues, contact us with your order number and the track title or SKU.
